With today’s technology, pencil sketched drawings should be a thing of the past. To that end, Laser Technology, Inc. has been in the forefront for nearly 20 years in providing the needs of law enforcement when it comes to speed measurement and pin-point measurement accuracy. At a crash or crime scene, you may only have one chance to get it right, because when you clear, you usually don’t have a chance to go back. Good or bad, the measurements you leave with, become evidence.
This 4-day workshop is designed to introduce law enforcement officers to the practice of creating highly accurate and professionally replicated crash and crime scene diagrams for future courtroom presentations using the LTI Laser and a variety of different methods. The following subjects will be covered in a very active “hands-on” environment:
- Measuring Crash/Crime Scenes;
- Use of Baseline Offset Method;
- Use of Triangulation Method;
- Use of Azimuth Distance Method;
- Understanding and Using the Angle Encoder;
- Downloading Crash/Crime Scene Data to the LTI QuickMap 3D Datapak
- Creating a Crash Scene/Crime Scene Diagram from Data Obtained;
- Creating a Crash/Crime Scene Using CAD Zone; and
- Vehicle Profiles.
