The future of traffic sensors is here!

LTI's Universal Laser Sensor
Considering all the variables in material characteristics, environmental conditions and even physical space restrictions, the ULS was designed to be easily configured to optimize its performance to targets within a particular application. Adjusting the sensor's range within a predetermined distance for presence detection, averaging the number of individual measurements for increased accuracy, and modifying how often you want data values generated are just some of the many parameters you can control.

Universal Laser Sensor Sample Profile
The ULS can be used in many traffic management applications, such as presence detection, classification by profiling, time between cars and can be implemented into custom projects (O.E.M. and system integrators). The "Look Down Mode" is a dedicated, high speed proximity detection configuration used to detect the presence of fast moving objects, such as vehicles traveling on a busy highway. The ULS comes with a graphical user interface which allows the sensor to be fully programmable. Adjust the sensor's range within a predetermined distance, change the pulse rates per second, and even modify how often you want data values generated or downloaded.
The ULS is capable of centimeter accuracy and millimeter resolution with incredibly rapid update pulse-rates (100 Hz to 5 KHz) ranging to distances of several hundred meters away. An integrated and software controlled visible laser pointer for target alignment comes standard with the ULS as well as an interface software program. An optional optical scope can be added for daylight targeting or long distance alignment.
